Shocking Service

I thought it was amazing to apply telephonically for a Personal Loan, and the lady was very helpfull. Asking me to go into the bank and take my ID and Payslip with to finalise the application. Upon arriving, apart from waiting very long... I had to deal with a consultant who did not explain to me that he has to suddenly recapture everything and just lets me sit there and wonder what he is doing. I finally asked, and he said that he is capturing my request and then it would only be sent for approval. I waited another long period and asked him please remove the insurance, as I have my own. PS: who pays an additional monthly fee of R160 just to insure your loan... I then explained I have my own after he said it is compulsary (which is fine with me) and then I argued to say it is madness to be insured double. He then agreed to take it off as I supp**** my confirmation of own insurance. Finally he printed the documents to be signed, and as I read through it, I informed him that some of my expenses he captured were wrong and he simply rep**** it is 'more or less'. He then said I can come back in an hour to see if the insurance part has been accepted. When I returned after an hour, he was not available, someone else tried to help me but the transaction was locked by him. He finally arrived to tell me I need to wait another 48 hours. Two days later I got two sms's, one saying it was approved, the other saying it was declinced!? I went back just to find out that it was declined because my company is busy retrenching??? I said to him it is impossible and I phoned my HR to confirm that it is NOT the case and then he says it was declined because of 'affordability'. I reminded him that he captured the wrong amounts, and then he prints my statements on which I prove to him the mistake. He said he will recapture and let me know. Today is a week and two working days later. Yesterday I left an urgent message for him. This morning he says he tried to phone me and I told him I had NO missed calls. He then says my request is still declined. I asked him when did he know this and he said LAST WEEK. He had nothing to say when I asked him why he did not inform me.

I moved to this bank because I only heard great things about them, I have been a client for about 8 years, not once a problem. And now, because of a simple request, time wasted and terrible service, I have to say goodbye. Perhaps it doesn't matter to Chippa, but I use to be more than a number to this bank and he simply excelled in disappointing me.
