Send i-Mali!

On 30 January I used the nedbank send i-Mali service from my account to acquaintances cellphone. The amount transferred is R780.00. The receiver has since come back to me indicating the challenge of withdrawing via send i-Mali cash with multiples of R10.00. According to the receiver she has attempted the withdrawal at various ATM's with no luck. Need i mention as a client myself i have experienced same. I then went back to my bank on numerous occasions requesting for their assistance in this regard.

I spoke to various consultants who initial confirmed 7 days as the turn around time for funds to be credit back into my account, subsequent to that and upon the 7th day, i was told it is actually 8 to 9 days and then most recently (10/02/2017) by Daniel in the send i-Mali department, he confirmed that it is in fact 10 days.

I am completely appalled and disturbed by these contradicting statements from people who are meant to provide accurate and consistent information, and or assistance at the first go. My frustration was infuriated by the fact that i have to wait an extra 3 working days for a call that was logged by Daniel on 10/02/2017 REF: ********** for a resolution to be undertaken.

I therefore appeal to whomever at Nedbank that is interested and capable of an amicable solution to the matter at hand do so before I escalate this matter to the Ombudsman for Banking,

Matter resolved partially. I say this on the basis that, processes that are able to identify and assist with troubleshooting of such issues are yet to be developed and implemented. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth as a consumer considering the day in age we leave in and how outdated Nedbank's systems are. For now, I conclude the matter finalised.
