Scheduled prepaid disaster. Over paid.
I am a new customer to Nedbank. Here is what happened:
1) I created a scheduled prepaid topup (data to the value of R99) 2) the money was taken from my account yesterday but I received no data. 3) I went into a Nedbank branch and was informed that Nedbank takes the money on one day and the next day the data will be on my phone. I expressed my disbelief but had no choice but to accept what I was told. 4) the next day: no data in my account.
It should be noted that at this point I have been buying data in small quantities hoping everything would be sorted out and I exceeded R99.
5) today I call Nedbank and the consultant was able to confirm everything I was saying but informed me that all that could be done is that an investigation would be launched and within THREE DAYS the outbound centre will get back to me :-) - 3 days. This conversation cost me 20 rand airtime.
6) I call back today (after buying an additional 20 rand airtime) and was told that the amount deducted cannot be reversed on my account :-) so I cannot buy the data manually. The airtime died and I decided not to buy any more.
What do I do for these three days? I’m new in Johannesburg and need my GPS to get around but that takes data. To get to the airport, I need data for an uber. I won’t get refunded for my airtime or petrol in dealing with this situation and if I buy more data now, Nedbank won’t do anything about the data I paid for but never recieved. I literally just switched to Nedbank thinking it would be better and this is my first experience with this bank.
Do yourself a favour and do not switch to this bank.
Nedbank if you read this then please call me urgently.
