****** by Nedbank

I still dispute the fact that i owed an installment in September 2019. Please read below extract from your own website;

When signing the Bond registration documents with the bank’s attorneys, the Purchaser will be asked on what date of the month he or she would like to have the monies deducted from their bank account by means of a debit order. With that in mind, the first bond installment will take place on the day of the month chosen, either within the month after the property is registered, alternatively the month following the date of registration (when the property is registered in the Purchasers name). This is because the date chosen may have been the 7th of the month, while registration takes place on a date after the 7th of the month. In that case the installment will be deducted in the month after the registration date. As per my previous email, my bond was registered on the 5th of September, which is after the 1st of the month, as per your payment arrangements, meaning the SMS i got was correct that my fist installment will be on the 25 October 2019. Furthermore, the statement sent to me on 30 November, didn't indicate any outstanding amount. And the letter i received on 31 December, only indicated the amount owing as R17 000. In January 2020 I made arrangements to pay the R17 000 over a 3 months period, starting in January 2020. To my surprise, an addition R17 000 was deducted and the reason given was that its for September. The reason given was that it was supposed to be the first installment, however according to your guidelines, the first installment should have been in October. Another issue is that my installment for December and January was supposed to be only R16 600, due to the reduction in the interest rate, however that was not implemented. Again, the arrangement was for R5 300 over 3 months, but i see now it says it will end in April, which makes it 4 months, meaning the final amount will be over R20 000. This cant be fair. I am really not happy with the way this issue has been handled and if you are unable to assist me, then please refer me to your supervisor or someone who can re-look into the matter. This has caused me and my family a lot of headache and i feel its not being taken serious, as the lady from home loans is dismissive of me and only refers me to you. I do want to understand as the documentation i have does not support was she is purporting. I shall await you response.

We spoke to a lady called Rav Mohun who happens to be a home loan bank manager who is very disrespectul and who hanged up on us when we tried to talk to her.

Is this how Nedbank treat their customers as this was a very inconvinience for me an my family. We felt so humiliated and belittled by Nedbank especially by Ms Rav , does she also give the same service or treatment to white or moslem people as i feel so disrespected by her. She refered us to our banker Ravi who tried to assist but unfortunately the matter was beyond her power and we sent several emails with no responce .

we would like the matter to be escalated and to be dealt with accordingly and if they an review the matter at hand.
