Ridiculous charges!!!!!

Can someone please contact me regarding international transactions, do you charge a rate as per the date of transaction, or when the transaction is cleared??? The cost of transaction was almost R900 more than on the date of transaction cherry on the cake is you charged me honoring fees for every transaction that followed.
