Ridiculous Charges

Over the past few months i have been complaining endlessly in respect of charges billed on my account ridiculously.

I have banked with nedbank over 30years now and its ridiculous to see how the competance has deteriorated.

I have an overdraft facility of R7500 and have a zero flaw rate when it comes to card transactions or internet payments. 1cent over and the transactions will decline. The problem comes in when you deposit money in a Nedbank atm which they claim to be real time. The deposit reflects immediately yet as of close of day when their atms or system updates the amount is reversed and the account then goes into negative for 24 or 48 hours depending on how long it takes them to update your cash deposit into your account.

In the interim any transactions that were done with your positive balance now get charged a R90 honorary fee and any other debits that come in during that time that you wait for your money to be credited get returned and you are charged R150 unpaid fee.

I have complained endlessly and asked for a audit of my account for the last few years as this is ridiculous. I am sure with all these ************ and wrongful charging i am owed a lot of money by nedbank. Unfortunately they only give you 6 months bank statements which again you pay for to reconcile their errors.

I have spoken to numerous employees of nedbank and lodge several complaints both Sea Point, Claremont, Century City and N1 city. my latest complaint been listed under Case no ********** 4 an amount R1590.

After explaining to the assistant at the bank a Mr Masithemde Ntondo that i am been charged R90 on transactions that i can only do on a positive balance. I was disappointed to hear from him that when going with this problem to his line manager a Lisa Fourie her response was that they were not going to refund the money as the charges were correct. I asked to see the woman who apparently seams to have no brains as to you cannot charge me on my money Senario and was told she has since left the bank and cannot speak to me.

Now i am aware that branches are reluctant to reverse these transactions as they are not the branch levying the charges and this reflects negative on their income as a branch yet it is still my money that they are refusing to give back.

Like i said i have had this problem for many years now and i am beat nedbank refuses to do anything about it.

I am so tired of hearing that someone will contact me. that someone does nothing after contacting me. all i want is someone to tell me that the problem is resolved and that mine an many others will not experience this again. I an many others cannot pay for nedbank teething problems. The fact that money is taken out peoples accounts under systematic errors and then refused to be refunded or dealt with within reasonable time is unacceptable.

Again i receive a useless response. One wonders if the now person representing Nedbank understands the complaint at hand and the difference between unpaids and honorary fees. also that if it takes the bank 3 days to reflect a cash deposit yes there will be zero funds in the account. needless to say that i cannot and do not dispute certain unpaids .. what i am disputing is the itemised charges levied that should not have been due to the nature of the transactions. Can anyone explain to the (I have no descriptive for the employee as there is not one that describes how stupid his response is) that one cannot purchase airtime or send cash sends without a positive balance on a nedbank app or online banking platform. Also that cash is what it is and reflects immediately as its deposited, then reverses itself to negative once their system updates and then 2 days later brings your account back into a positive. also that during this time any transaction that will be banked then gets charged with additional fees. I cannot pay for a vendor that chooses to late bank his transactions as he does not want to pay for every single transaction. The transaction i do is realtime. That money is removed from my balance as of time that it is done. It does not get more complicated than that. The complications appear to justify unnecessary
