Refusal to Pay Out Investment

I invested some money through the internet system on a 32 day deposit account, selecting 1 month for my investment to payout. I was under the impression that as long as I left my money there for at least 2 months, I would be allowed to withdraw it after 1 month. Instead the bank has now informed me that I have to wait another 32 days to get my money back. Although I have told them that that was not the way I understood it, they have refused me access to my money. I will be travelling overseas next with no money to fund my stay there as I was planning to use that money which was why I put it away for 1 month. Despite explaining my predicament to the bank, they are not interested and instead refer me to the Terms & Conditions. I now find myself in dire straits as I will be left destitute and at this late stage cannot cancel my trip without losing what I paid in airfare. As their customer I would have hoped for some understanding from my bank and every help to accommodate me, even if I forfeited the interest I would have earned but obviously as their customer I am not important.
