Recall services

Towards end of Jan I deposited money into a friends account and later realized that he supp**** me with the wrong account Fnb number so i requested that a recall be auctioned.

I got the forms and sent them back.

O the forms it says allow 7-10 working days for money to be returned. The specified days have now elapsed but no response from them.

On day 6 I emailed asking about the status and they responded that they’ll let me know after getting the funds.

On day 11 I call Nedbank to actually put me through to them but they don’t even have the number to the recalls department. How is this possible that an entire bank doesn’t have a departments number? On top of this, I will get charged for the service, for money that stuck somewhere?

On a comparison note, my friend also deposited into this wrong account as it’s a group thing but he got his funds within 48hrs and he uses Capitec bank.

It’s always a hassle dealing with nedbank and now I’ve had it. I’ll be moving to another bank soon enough after this is resolved and my last salary date gets paid into my account.

See money differently? Yes I’m seeing my money differently now and I see it at another bank.

Hi I’m not happy with the service. How can you say the recall was unsuccessful because of an invalid beneficiary account number? That’s the reason I’m recalling the the transaction as it was deposited into an invalid account. Now you want me to submit again detailing the correct account number? What good is that going to do because no money went into the correct account number and if it went to the correct account number, we wouldn’t be debating this transaction. What must I do now?
