REAP OFF!!!

My account was handed over i think 2018/2019 the amount handed over was R5600.00, i then made an arrangement to atleast make a payment of R100-R150, and so far i have paid R2000 and some odds rands, i asked a consultant who called me as early as 7am jow much is my balance so far she said my balance is R5300 and i only paid R2000 or so and the money that i have paid was for interest and that the person i spoke to when i made an arrangement should have told me that. So as i can only afford to pay R100 or so i am only paying for interest.I thought when account is handed over a creditor doesn't charge interest. This is a reap off struu. so i will end up paying triple of the amount or more mos
