Read your contract before you sign

I had a credit card with Nedbank witch had insurance for should i die or become disable or get retrench from work will cover me 2013 I got retrenched and i reported the matter and supporting documents were also submitted to Nedbank only now after 8 years they call me to arrange for payment ,I told the person that was calling that 2013 I submitted the retrenchment letters to Nedbank all along I though my matter was solved and closed 2013 now I am taking the matter to the Consumer OMBUDS
