R531.00 of my money held for 4 days with no explanation from Nedbank
I've been trying since 7 September to resolve seven Bolt/Uber transactions that show as Cancelled (R0.00) in both apps, but funds are still affecting my Nedbank account.
The transactions in question (7-8 Sept 2026):
Bolt R110.00 (21:34), reversed same evening Uber R86.00, R99.00, R116.00, all for cancelled ride attempts on the evening of the 7th after drivers kept cancelling on me Bolt R120.00 (8 Sept, 12:47)
That's R531.00 across these five transactions still unaccounted for.
None of these amounts appear on my official downloaded bank statement. When I raised this with Nedbank support, I was repeatedly told the transactions were reflecting on my statement. When I checked, they simply weren't there. When I pressed for specifics, an unrelated legitimate transaction from 9 September was pointed to instead, one I had already confirmed I wasn't disputing.
I contacted both Bolt and Uber directly. Uber's response confirmed these were simply authorisation holds and told me to contact my bank about release timing. Nedbank support could not confirm hold status, release timing, or give a clear explanation, despite being shown my actual statement.
My app shows a significant, unexplained gap between my current balance and my available balance, four days after the original bookings, with no breakdown from the bank as to what makes up that difference.
I have emailed Nedbank's formal complaints line and am now escalating here as the process has gone in circles for days without a straight answer.
I want my R531.00 released back into my account in full
