Ques are madness and Nedbank makes no significant effort to reduce waiting times.
Apparently due to covid I've heard banks can only have 50% of their work force inside the branch... This still doesn't explain why the other 50% can't assist customers outside the branch with tablet computers. (They could at least do basic things like handle queries and quickly fetch bank cards from the branch or keep cards in a briefcase for people opening accounts) They don't even need to stand outside the branch if covid regulations prohibit that, they could help people in the parking lot for crying out loud. (With the line manager informing people waiting in the que at the branch that they can be assisted by Nedbank employees outside the bank.
Really makes no sense. We have covid and Nedbank is forcing much larger groups of people to wait closer to eachother for extended periods of time. Instead of getting people in and out of the branch as fast as possible so that ques are minimised and people don't have to stand for longer periods of time close together increasing the risk of a growing viral load (how much virus is present in an environment) for all people as people spend ages breathing on eachother. Because of this I feel (I'm not a virologist) that Nedbank should double it's work force (not half it) especially if they can assist customers outside the branch or in the parking lot so that ques do not build up.
I've heard covid will not go away, there's no ways I'm putting up with more than 1 hour long ques indefinitely for basic banking needs. Nedbank you need to adapt and innovative especially for the future of this pandemic.
Seriously Nedbank, is it really that difficult to get employees to stand outside your branches or in parking lots with tablet computers, bank cards in a briefcase and mobile printers so that your branches can cope with the numbers of people and people don't have to que for hours. So literally only the people that can't be helped outside an official branch have to go in.
