Professional Banking perks not available

I arrived at OR Thambo airport eager to use my lounge access and enjoy a relaxing breather before my international flight. I was very upset to find that the Bidvest lounge at OR Thambo is closed. I was able to use the open Bidvest Lounge at the East London airport and therefore was completely caught unawares at Johannesburg, especially since I double checked that I was registered on LoungeKey before my travels.

I then went to the open Shongololo lounge to attempt to use my LoungeKey there and was denied access. I then went to the FNB slow lounge to see if Nedbank has partnered with them during the pandemic in an attempt to provide for their Nedbank customers and was told that only FNB and Shongololo are open at the moment.

Now, I am fighting for a seat at my boarding gate hours before my flight and getting jostled by other people and feeling very vulnerable as a woman alone. On top of all this, I am recovering from a medical condition and have been compromised by this lack of service.

Why has Nedbank not made an alternative plan for their customers whom they claim to value so highly?
