Processing stop orders to a deceased person's account?
I used to have a Savings account that I had opened for my late son. I had a stop order linked from my Current account to that savings account every month on my salary date. I unfortunately lost my son in Dec 2018 and subsequently closed the savings account as well as canceled the "Stop order". To my surprise this morning, 6 months after closing my late son's account and canceling the stop order, a stop order was processed from my current account to my late son's savings account. I call the call center and I am told that the Stop order was not canceled. My question is now how is it that the stop order is only going off today, 6 months after "it was apparently not canceled".? Why did it not go off in Jan, Feb, March, April etc? Are you kidding me? I want an investigation on what is really going on here. Are staff members of yours activating deceased people's accounts and **********ly "withdrawing" money from them. Also I want the "stop order" amount refunded back into my Current account with no reversal charges. I want a sensible explanation to what happened.
