Prescribed debt

Hi I received a sms from a attorney T J Maodi Inc on the 9th of June. In this sms they threatend me with a Sheriff to summons me on a outstanding Nedbank Personal Loan. According to the National Credit Amendment Act this is prescribed debt. I had a loan with Nedbank in 2011 and the monthly installments went off by debit order. As the bank stopped debiting the account I presummed this account was paid. Now after three years for the first time I get sms's from attorneys. Within this three years I did not acknowledged any debt with Nedbank in writing or verbally. I did not make a promise to pay the outstanding debt. I have not been summoned to make a payment by Nedbank for the debt within the past three consecutive years. According to me if an account has been dormant for three or more years, a debt collector cannot ask me to pay this monies. There is no way that they can state that they could not get hold of me. After three years sending me a sms and as far as I am aware if you apply for a loan, you must supply the bank with your address. I am also sending a report to the Ombudsman for Banks.

Nedbank account nr: ********** 194401

Id: ********** 170082
