Power Surge Damage Ignored by Insurance

On January 25th, after moving from one house to another, I experienced a power surge while connecting my TV to the mounting bracket. This surge damaged my electric plug (with USB connectivity) and my gate motor, both of which are fed from the same line.

Despite explaining this thoroughly, the insurance company claimed that my TV, being over 10 years old, failed on its own. This conclusion is unacceptable as I also had two boards and a Xiaomi TV box connected to the same plug that showed burn marks from the surge.

This is not the first time I’ve faced such issues with this company. They consistently deny claims by attributing them to age or deterioration, despite their assurance that they cover everything. It’s clear that their coverage is unreliable and discriminatory.

I strongly advise against using this company for home contents insurance. Their service is subpar, and they seem to approve claims selectively.
