POPI ACT Violation-Abused of Data and breach of confidentiality

My Data submitted for a loan application back in 2018/2019 were being used again without consent. My financial records from ABSA were being obtained by Nedbank without my consent. Hard enquiries for 2 years were being made by Nedbank on Transunion. This has damaged my credit profile. Lowered my credit rating in a big way. With that said. It is and the Durban branch that is involved had agreed that this is a POPI act violation. I have since asked the bank to compensated as the ******** act was breach of confidentiality, human rights violation, right to privacy was also violated as this was abuse of Data that was meant to be kept safe by Nedbank.

The branch involved has came back to me with a written apology and only said they are dealing with the matter internally(meaning they will discipline the employee involved in those act).I aske the bank to have those enquiries removed from my credit report. I just received an email saying it has been done with no proof. And I was told unfortunately I will only receive an f=reference number to the credit bureau, not even a name of which bureau r was mention, till date those enquiries are still reflecting on my credit report.

How do I secure future home loans or any other loan when Nedbank has violated and criticaly damaged my credit profile? At the end of it all I am told there is nothing further the bank can do for me and I am free to do whatever I need to do.

How many South Africans credit profile is being messed up with. How many financial records are being obtained without consent by Nedbank?
