Poorly trained / informed consultants

I am so fed up with Nedbank at the moment. I wanted to open a new Nedbank account. Fresh start. But I have an overdraft and wanted to know how this would work. I spoke to 4 Consultants in the online chat first. The last informed me that she is able to assist with opening the new account, and then during normal office hours, the overdrafts department can assist with simply transferring my overdraft from one account to the other. Sounds simple enough. She assists me with opening a new account. The next morning, I inform HR to change my salary payment, update my debit orders, etc - and just after 8 am I get a hold of Nedbank to switch the overdraft. The first consultant tells me this is not possible at all. The second says it's possible, he's going to get a number that I should phone for the overdrafts department - chat abruptly ends. The next consultant tells me again it's not possible and the fourth says it is but that the overdraft would need to have a 0 balance to be moved to the new account. Oh, dear Lord Nedbank - which is it, and what is the point of the overdraft if it needs to have a 0 balance? And what is the purpose of me having to pay it in full first to move it to a new account? If I paid it in full I'd just freaking cancel it. Much easier right? Now I'm in a predicament where all my stuff is moved to the new account following false information from your consultants and me being given a run around - only to go into the branch and be told officially this cannot be done. I need assistance to please close my account (considering you charged me R1100 bank charges early hours of Wednesday morning for an account I no longer use) Ironically a payment had accidentally been sent to that account in error - which allowed you to make money from the account. Once this account is closed - I'd like to please speak to someone to set up a payment arrangement to settle the outstanding balance on my overdraft.

I would've never gone this route if your consultants had told me from the start that this is not possible. Please refer to the chat conversation on 13 April with Asavele just after 18:00. And then please refer to the next conversation on 14 April with Ashlyn, who first tells me to re-apply for the overdraft on the new account despite already having one on the old account. Your system literally gives an error stating that I cannot apply for an overdraft as I already have one active. Ashlyn then phones the overdrafts department and comes back to tell me it can't be done.

I have screenshots thereof that I would be happy to provide if required.

Please contact me ASAP - as I will not be held liable for bank charges as a result of your poorly informed consultants.

Reviewer Update
Or, perhaps you can ignore this post - like you did my first on 14 Apr 2021, 09:07. Once all my services are moved to another bank completely - I'm sure you'll contact me wanting me to pay for my overdraft right?
