Poor Service To Long Standing Client
I recently app**** with Nedbank for an overdraft. I went online left my details and a agent called me back. They put the call through to their overdraft department and i was assisted by Marco. Marco took about 25 minutes on the call with me and at the end of it said that they are having sysyem issues and will have to redo the application the next day. He called me at 8am on Friday 29 May. He spent another 20 odd minutes asking me questions and then said he was done, my application was sent through to the credit assessor. He later called me and asked for a proof of employment and said that once this is provided he will finalise the application and my overdraft will be sorted. On Monday, 1 June i mail him since i had no feedback from Friday and was told he is still waiting on the credit assessment. Today he mailed me at 14.35 and told me that he is just waiting for the final agreement and that they are having system issues. He mails me again today about 30 minutes later and asks for proof of of vehicle finance, credit carda, and vodacom paid up letters.
I just want to state that this has been waste of time and energy. I have been banking with Nedbank 2006 and will now chamge to SA's largest bank Capitec.
I will switch over my salary to Capitec and my home loan as well. This is very poor service from a bank I considered to be very good.
In a time when client service separates to good from the great Nedbank has dropped the ball with a long standing client.
Very dissapointing Nedbank, why aren't you fighting for market share in these trying times we live in at the moment.
