Poor service on Vehicle insurance

I was involved in an accident i made them aware of my safety the tow truck came late. Now im told to 24 to 48 hrs to followup on claim I wait I call after that time im stil told no status on claim I must wait another 48hrs why are we not considered we already under severe trauma after an accident the least they can do is to support call and follow up.
