Poor service and lack of responsibility.

I asked for my account to be cloesed and it wasn't and now i was made to pay the maintenance fees.

Me: Hi Lucas

Masana here, it's regarding my account which you were suppose to be closed and its not. You had said you would get back top me since January and i haven't herd anything from you.

I've been coming to nedbank on weekends and left messages for you to call or email me, still no word.

I have just received a notification saying my account has been handed over, and i honestly cannot afford to do anything about it but my name is now affected, you are not saying anything at all, and i cannot take the blame for this one cause i did my part.

Please advise what to do next cause i really don't know what to do. I really do feel what you doing is unfair and unprofessional.

Kind Regards Masana Shikwambane

Him: Hi Masana

Kindly be advised that I have been trying to get hold of you but you are not answering your phone, your account is currently overdrawn due to monthly maintenance fees. We have realised that there was money transferred into your account while we were in the process of closing your account, you then proceeded to use the account by making a withdrawal. Unfortunately we are unable to reverse the fees in question as the account was in use, therefore you are liable for paying the maintenance fee for that month. You are required to settle the outstanding balance before the account can be closed

Me: Lucus, i came to you and closed off the account in the beginning of December because i stated that i have just lost my job and wont be able to maintain the account any further, we then made a transfer of R 800 and something into the savings account i had just opened with you, you said to me, once this money has cleared, i will then close the account, I remember saying to you, Lucus do not forget, please, you said, i wont.

In mid December i then received money in that account and that was about 8 day later after i had closed the account, that was when i noticed my account was not closed, i was away from Johannesburg and as i got back in early January, i came straight to you, telling you my account was still active, i do see how that is any of my fault. Had the account been closed, that transaction wouldn't have gone through (am i wrong) i don't think so.

May me understand how any of that is my fault, please... I am not one to shy away from taking responsibility and accountability.

Kind Regards Masana Shikwambane
