Poor security with Nedbank Money App

It seems I cannot set up the Nedbank money app on my phone without taking a selfie for facial recognition. How can this be secure? If I am held up they can use my face and have access to my banking app. So I am not using the Nedbank Money app on my phone, which is a pain.
