Poor customer services Nedbank Insurance

We received poor customer service. My mother lodged a claim with nedbank insurance. They immediately sent out their contractors to come and fix the electricity. Their contractors were only appointed to come and switch on the electricity, that is all. Since than we have been experiencing shocking while using our electrical appliances, the shocking is severe at times. There was also a buzzing sound coming from the electricity box which made us scared since there is a toddler in the house.

They disconnected two wall plug sockets claiming that they have been burned and they are causing the electricity to trip. They even promised us that the electricity has to be fixed immediately and they just have to confirm with the head office; so that they might be provided with resources. The electricians even came the following day to come and see what paint is required. We were even told a way complicated story about cables that is connected underground.

The electricians promised us a lot, including that the insurance has to earth the house otherwise the problem would persist. And the lightning would continuing striking the house. So we asked the electricians what caused our electricity to continue tripping; we were told it was the strong weather from the previous day and they also asked when our house was built because of the cables that are underground. When we contacted them about the buzzing sound and the shocking from our appliances. We spoke with various call centre agents claiming that they would send out contractors. They also kept on refering us to different departments.

My mother was than advised to contact her lawyers which she did. The lawyers contacted nedbank and they were told that there was a wire which was not connected, so they would not come and fix our electricity futher after they endangered our lives. The lawyers also advised us to get our own electrician to come and fix our electricity, which we did and we should contact ombudsman. Should we keep on wasting money and time contacting them.

Our questions are:

Does nedbank insurance value their customers or their lawyers? Since we contacted them numerous times and we weren't told about the wires that was not connected. Anything could have happened to us and our house.

Does nedbank hire qualified electricians? The electricians never mentioned about wires that has not been connected since we also asked them what might have been the problem, which we were told its the bad weather from the previous day. They never mentioned wires or cables.
Is it normal for us to be shocked by electricity and electrical buzzing sounds? Which never happened before, just after electricians has been appointed to come and switch the electricity.

***We never received such poor services from them. My mother has been a member at nedbank for more than 15 years now***
