PERSONAL LOAN TAKING 5 WEEKS BEFORE OUTCOMES

Good Day,

I hereby wish to express my despondency of the outcome of my personal loan application. On the 15th of March 2017 I received a call from one of your sales consultant. I was offered with a loan of R_+38500.00 which I accepted. I was then informed that I should visit the nearest branch and submit the required documents. I received an e-mail notification indicating that Nedbank has requested for my Absa Statement Disclosure.

I then went to the Matlosana Mall branch in Klerksdorp on the 20th of March 2017 to submit my three (3) months payslips and ID. On daily basis I made follow ups with the consultant ( Mr Israel Seetelo) whom was assisting with my application. I was taken from Pillar to Post. I was told that the systems were off. I made countless follow ups in a day but with no assistance. At this point in time I used all my savings I had saved up for rainy days anticipating that Nedbank will release the money as soon as the system is back on line.

I was also phoning the customer care line on numerous occasions out of frustration enquiring about the progress on my application. On the 22nd of March 2017 I received personal quote: ********** 7 from Asanda Macatsha, which I signed and returned to the bank (R20 000). I waited again but nothing was happening from Nedbank and I made follow ups which were never attended to. On the 31st of March 2017 I submitted the application form again. On the 03rd of April 2017 I received an e-mail notification indicating that Nedbank has requested for my Absa Statement Disclosure AGAIN. On the 06th of April 2017 I was requested to submit my application together with the bank statement which I did submit. I work 110 kilometres away from the Branch and every time I should request for a day off at work. On the 11th of April 2017 I called the branch and I was informed that I should submit the stamped banking details from the bank (Absa).

Out of extreme Frustration I Called ***(clients complain helpline). I received an sms from Ms Silindile Ngiba (Resolution Manager) confirming that they have received my complaint. I was also provided with the reference number of CCM# ********** . I made follow-up in the morning (12 April 2017). She told me that she waiting for the sales consultants to give her feedback on my application. I received an sms at 13:43 that my application has been declined. I must contact the sales consultant for further information.

I am very aggrieved by the manner in which Nedbank handled the whole process. I have never approached them for a loan. My financial status for the month of March and April 2017 have been tarnished. From March to April 2017 I have taken Seven (7) days to attend to information that was asked from time and again in Nedbank. Im just worried that what if the loan was for burial purposes? Meaning the corpse will still be in the morgue. I am totally disgruntled with Nedbank Customer Service. I took Nedbank almost 5 months to decline my application.
