Personal loan

Today I wanted to settle my personal loan and instead of getting a settlement amount that less than the outstanding balance, i then got a settlement value that is higher than the outstanding amount. I went to Mahikeng branch and I was advised that to settle within 7 days however there's no benefit to settling earlier. Im beyond disappointed.
