Personal loan

I app**** for a personal loan on Friday 11 November 2022 it is Friday again the 18th of November 2022 and still none the wiser.

I dealt with the consultant and set daily mails asking for an update and every time the reply is "its at the back office, I will escalate and keep you updated" yesterday I phoned and was told by the consultant who answered that I have a person over my profile and will put me through to her, I explained the situation and after been put on hold a few times was told that the loan's approved but is with the department that has to release payment. I phoned again this morning the very sweet consultant that helped me tried to put me through to the lady I spoke to yesterday (sorry I cannot remember her name but the call can be traced as it was done this morning) and she said she will phone me back. I'm still waiting. Does it really take 7 days to get an answer.
