Pathetic service
On the 9th May 2019 I visited your branch at Clearwater mall and was appalled by the service I received . At the entrance I was approached by your branch manager Morris (Khathu) Maphanda who decided he wanted to discuss my personal matters at the entrance hall which made me uncomfortable as there were people walking in and out-which I advised and he did not see anything wrong- then advised I should speak to one of your bankers. I was then referred to Nolene Thomas. She displayed a level of impatience where she did not even wait for me to finish my sentences but just wanted to get her point across. As soon as I would ask a question she would quickly cut me off and tell me there was nothing she could do. In not so many words she told me to **** off. Seeing that would not get anywhere I told her that I needed to speak to someone that was able to listen and that had patience and was referred back to Morris, who also had little or no knowledge of what he was talking about and kept on asking irrelevant questions instead of giving solutions on how my matter should be resolved. I spent 4 hours in the branch only to be told by him that your Nedbank app is simple to use and I should not blame him for my own stupidity. The displayed the utmost lack of empathy and basically told me that even if it’s a case of like and death he (and his fellow staff) do not give a ****. His only priority was to get rid of the customer as he had other important things to do. The issue is: I opened a 32 day investment account on the backing app and due to unforeseen circumstances had to make an early withdrawal. When I opened the account it was linked to a stokvel investment (EYE OPENER) for which I am one of the signatories (which I do not understand why because the stokvel account has nothing to do with my PERSONAL ACCOUNT). Khathu advised that I could be able to make the withdrawal provided I give concrete reasons (which I also don’t understand as I feel it’s an invasion of my privacy but I obliged) as well as one of the signatories (of which I came with Lerato Madini). Taking into consideration that I had to go to the office to collect the “relevant documents”. We were then made to wait in the queue for another 30 min or so before we could be attended by Enquiries (Julia). While Julia was waiting for authorisation and went to your back office where Khathu and another Indian lady(I did not get her name)and were taking long Noleen also went to the back and joined in the discussion, they all eventually came back and advised that the withdrawal could not be completed. Julia then called the call centre and I spoke to Kim who also requested to speak to Khathu. As soon as he was done on the call advised that there was nothing the call center could do and that I should put in a notice and wait 32 days. I asked how the funds would then be signed for since the investment is linked to a Stokvel account it would require the other signature(s), he could not provide an answer. At this point all he was interested in was to get rid of the customer. 1. I don’t understand on what grounds the stokvel account is linked to my PERSONAL PROFILE. 2. I don’t understand why I am struggling to withdraw my own funds. 3. My privacy was invaded with lack of empathy. 4. I am pregnant and was made to wait in the bank for 4hrs for nothing. I have learned that even in life and death situations Nedbank will simply tell you to **** OFF with your own money. I have never dealt with people that are so abrupt and lack customer centric and empathy. THE BOTTOM LINE IS I NEED THOSE FUND AND CANNOT WAIT FOR 32 DAYS AND AM NOT GOING TO GET A LOAN TO FULFILL THE COMMITMENTS I HAVE WHIST I HAVE FUNDS.
