Paid for years and got nothing out!!!

For years I was paying fees of R189 and R116 every month without fail as I was under the impression this was a hospital plan to cover me if I were to be hospitalised as that was what I was told over the phone. I have been 2 hospital and been diagnosed with cancer when I called Nedbank they told me they cannot help me and I cannot claim as it is only accidental to my knowledge this was not was was agreed over the phone there was no mention of accident as in that case I would have not taken it. Please assist me in what I can do as I've been payin years is this the service Nedbank gives there clients if so they should close down or stop these call agents as we are paying for false information!!!
