Outstanding Claims & No Feedback – Home Left at Security Risk

We are extremely disappointed and frustrated with the ongoing lack of service from Nedbank Housing Insurance.

Following the recent heavy rainfall and hailstorms, our home sustained significant damage. We lodged three separate claims with Nedbank Housing Insurance. While one of the three claims has been approved, we have received no feedback whatsoever on the remaining two claims.

Despite numerous follow-ups and continuous calls to Nedbank Insurance, we are met with delays, no clear communication, and absolutely no sense of urgency. In the meantime, our property remains exposed and at serious security risk every single day due to the unrepaired storm damage.

This is completely unacceptable.

We pay our insurance premiums diligently every month as part of our bond, yet when we need support, we are left chasing for answers. Insurance exists to provide protection and peace of mind — not to create additional stress and uncer*****y.

We would like to know: • Why are the remaining two claims still unresolved? • Why is there no proper communication or feedback? • Who will be held responsible if a break-in occurs as a direct result of the delayed repairs? • Who will compensate us for additional damage caused by these delays?

The level of service received is extremely disappointing and falls far below what any paying customer should expect. No consumer should be paying for insurance if the provider fails to meet its obligations when a valid claim is submitted.

We require urgent intervention, immediate feedback on the outstanding claims, and a clear timeline for resolution.

We trust this matter will now be escalated and treated with the seriousness it deserves.

And to date, Nedbank Insurance has still not rep****.
That’s what you call service! Pathetic!!!
I guess an escalation to the relevant regulatory bodies to investigate further is in order! I wonder how many other customers are also being mistreated by Nedbank!
