Open the attachments of what might be a phishing e-mail

I phoned the Nedbank number for investments at 15h06. I am trying to find out if an e-statement I received is in fact from Nedbank or is a phishing e-mail. Your consultant lacks listening skills and, it would appear, basic general knowledge. I became frustrated and asked her if there was someone I could speak to who would know if this was a phishing e-mail. She put me through to the ****** card division. Could someone please phone me to check if the e-mail I have is legitimate. Your colleague just wanted me to open the attachments despite what I had told her.
