***** of R1 030 000.00 on our Nedbank accounts with Vodacom doing ******* sim swop
***** by Nedbank and Vodacom of over R1million. No one takes responsibility
Our bank account was hacked in March by R 1 030 000.00 a staggering million rand . We notified Nedbank within 10minutes , it went to a transact platform Stitch and then went directly to a Crypto company, who then closed their account . Nedbank take no responsibility .
They should have noticed that when a staggering R1 million is withdrawn to an unknown IP address never used before ….this is a red flag . They have been indifferent at dealing with this *****.
Because of their reluctance to take responsibility we have taken them to the Ombudsman, but that process is taking very long . Nedbank told us to go to Vodacom who did the ******* sim swop to facilitate OTPs to get our money . Vodacom in turn say Nedbank was involved too . Vodacom admitted to the ***** in writing.
Vodacom has agreed to pay out 20%, but they too won’t reply snd as yet we have received nothing from Vodacom.
This is extremely distressing that these big giants can run roughshod over us , the clients , and there is nothing to make them accountable.
Lawyers have warned us it will be very costly to take them on for this same reason ….they will just make it difficult and expensive, we were told .
Please help !
Any advice as well as commenting if you too have had ***** from Nedbank, Vodacom ******* sim swop.
