NOT willing to negotiate AT ALL

I took a personal loan for a period of 36 months, 25 months in i came into some money and wanted to settle the account. when i called to get my settlement value (with 11 months left to pay) i was given a number that equates to 41% of the loan still owing. i asked if there was some way to negotiate the final amount down considering how high the interest was. i was told out-right that they will never offer a lower settlement amount. this truly amazes me, Nedbank advertises how helpful they are and then when you are bound by a contract they are not willing to assist or even consider. This is the very reason why South Africa (and the rest of the world) experienced the 2008 recession. <br> Thanks Nedbank for reinforcing my decision to change banks <br>
