Not Making Things Happen for the Consumer But for them Yes !

I took out a loan in May 2007 and payments were to commence in July 2007. The company I worked for shortly thereafter went bankrupt and I could then not meet my obligations. I was unemployed for so many years and found a casual opprtunity in 2009 and made 1 payment and was again unemployed. In 2010/2011 I found a job again and I opened a bank account with Nedbank and after my salary was deposited Nedbank took a few thousand rands without even advising me. I had a representative from Nedbank or so I was made to believe visit my home in 2008 with some paperwork that I was made to sign and was told that this is for confirmation of unemployment and that I am liable for the money owed to them. At the time I was not made aware of what I was signing and went ahead. After loosing my employment yet again in late 2011 I was then unemployed for many years. I recently started working again and shortly after receiving my Salary i then convenienly started receiving communication from Nedbank threatening that the sheriff of the court would be visiting my home to serve a warrant of attachement and that a judgement was passed. I then lodged my complaint with the NCR who came back to me yesterday telling me that what I actually signed was an acknowledgement of debt and Emolument Attachment Order for monthly deductions. How could I have done that or agreed to those terms if I was unemployed and could not afford to make any kind of contribution and at the time had no idea as to what steps can be taken or what protection we as consumers have or access to information as to what approch or options are out there. Not only that but the NCR states the NCA came into effect in the same year I took out the loan so I am F*&^%#. I could lose my job because of this and after so many years of unemployment I have now finally found employment and being able to provide some kind of support to my 3 children but yes this is what is available to us. Now I understand why the EFF wants to nationalize banks as they get richer, throw money around like crazy on sponsoring various events and millions at that but simply wont want to provide some form of assistance and relief of have any humanity for some consumers but simply see digits. If there is anyone reading this outside of Nedbank I would sincerely appreaciate some guidance.
