Not helpful at all

So I recently resigned to study full time in order to better myself. I had asked someone to settle my personal loan on condition I pay them back when I get my degree and follow my chosen career path. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity I did not wish to miss out on. The person had a certain amount which is a little bit(not allot) less than my settlement. I then asked them to consider me for a settlement discount as I dont have the rest. I have been paying them no problem for the last couple of years and even if I did have arrears I would pay them double the following month. Their excuse for not considering me is that my loan term isn't expired. What kind of bank is this that doesn't assist people even though they are trying to better themselves. The loan settlement obviously has interest and not considering all the interest I paid over the years as a client. I understand that discounts isn't a must but at least some consideration as to the situation I find myself in would be a kind gesture to have a client return some day as a business. I strongly dont recommend the bank as they are of no assistance to people in need. Not recommended should you ever find yourself in a difficult situation with no way out.
