NONSENSICAL PROCEDURE COMES FIRST in NEDBANK, to hell with our customers needs
Hi Nedbank Team,
I am appalled at the nonsensical, illogical process your team insists on sticking to, that will cost my family dearly. I have almost completed a building project and have app**** for a progress payment on 29 Nov. The NHBRC certificate (for my builder) has expired and he has app**** for a new one, but this process can take a while due to a new process NHBRC insists on. Now your team will not consider a progress payment based on this. The NHBRC cannot tell us when we will get the NEW certificate, they have proposed end of January. Please note, what used to take a couple hours is now taking weeks and even months. SO AS A PROCESS DRIVEN entity surely Nedbank would consider to amend their procedure? Surely you don’t want 1000s of builders ANGRY waiting for money from you, but you withholding due to an NHBRC change? CHANGE WITH THE TIMES NEDBAN****!!! Don’t stick so strictly to your process that you neglect your customer and their needs. Your OWN Nedbank inspector went to my site today to verify legitimate progress, and was successful. I also have a Public Liability cover that expires on Monday (1st Dec) and thus trying to get my request in before this. WHICH I HAVE DONE. But I believe your teams NEXT nonsensical step will be to tell me on MONDAY that my Public Liability has expired. This cost R8000 to extend and I will NOT BE DOING THIS due to you not changing your processes to accommodate customers that POSE zero risk. They have also asked for Engineer COC, which if they KNEW the building process, cannot be provided until all is complete. THEY ALSO required Elec COC, which THE SHOULD know cannot be granted UNTIL the municipality supplies power. This power (THEY KNOW ABOUT) has been app**** for in Aug and as you know, it can take 2 days, or 6 months. There is NO defined time given. I am a long time Nedbank customer and have done 3 building projects and 4 homes on Nedbank facilities. After all this business (without a glitch, technical problem, or MISSED payment) I have been pushed to side to have RED TAPE stand in the way of my payments. This is at the end of a project which YOUR INSPECTORS have been visiting for an entire year and have NO FAULT or can find any safety or structural issues. I DON’T NOT WANT SOMEONE to call me and tell me about the procedures you have to abide by. Your team has negated any risk on this project for Nedbank. There is no risk for you. ANY AND ALL emails to show your team is aware of these details can be sent to anyone. PLEASE HELP so I don’t have to escalate.
Treat you customers better please… Brian
