No sympathy to elderly clients
We have a elderly 95 year old grandfather who is bed ridden and blind. Some years back we approched the above branch to give signing powers to the daughter so that she can manage the finances of her father . We went through such difficulties of arranging special transport to take our grandfather to the branch to have all documents signed and we were advised by the branch that daugher can operate on the account and handle all banking matters pertaining to the her father. Recently (5 years later) the bank debit card expired and the daughter approached the bank for a new card and was advised that her father needs to be present to sign the paper work. We advised the branch that father is bed ridden and blind and the dauaghter has authority to act on the account. The staff insists that the father be brought to the branch to sign documents(No sympathy at all !).This is totally fustrating dealing with a bank like this. We need assistance from Nedbank to understand our stituation and would appreciate if their staff can come to our home to have the neccesary documents signed. Please assist by contact the daughter on the following number ***- Ms Govender
