No account number due to incompetence
On 12/10/2015 I made an Overseas Funds Transfer to my daughter in the USA. After my daughter told me that she had not received the funds($1000), I made inquiries and on 03/11/2015 I received an e-mail from Ms Kona at Global stating that the overseas bank had returned the funds because the account number was invalid. When I requested proof of payment, I noticed that my daughter's address was incorrect. After many phone calls, my daughter's bank told her that they had received the transfer on 15/10/2015, but her account number had been omitted! They e-mailed Nedbank on 16/10/2015 informing them about the missing account number, but NOBODY followed up! On 23/10/2015 they rejected the transfer, but still nobody at Nedbank followed up or contacted me! After I complained on Nedbank's website, Marlyn Petersen contacted me with an attitude! She asked me what I expected her to do about it! My daughter only received her money on 22/11/2015! I have proof that they omitted the account number, and NO apology from Nedbank! In January 2016 I am moving my account to another bank.
