NEVER TAKE UP AN OFFER FOR A PERSONAL LOAN FROM NEDBANK!

I will never deal with Nedbank again. One of the sales consultants called me to offer a consolidation loan and after I spent more than 30 minutes with her on the phone discussing my budget and personal information, she advised that Nedbank can offer me a consolidation loan that has been provisionally approved. She asked me to go to the nearest branch with the required documentation and after our conversation I received sms messages on a daily basis reminding me to take my documents to Nedbank. After a few days I went through the trouble of getting all documents together and went to the Rosebank branch to go through the procedure with a consultant and this lasted about 45 minutes. He congratulated me on my approved application and handed me an agreement to sign which outlined the breakdown of payments, terms and conditions etc. etc. The next day I received an sms advising that the loan application has been declined. I am totally confused and still do not understand how this bank's procedure works whereby they decline an "approved" application after they have wasted your time.
