NEDBANKS'S UNDERHANDED TACTICS

I fell into arrears on my Nedbank Cards and intended to repay them. That was until we were visited by COVID19 and the related financial stress of reduced income etc.

Suddenly, I have started getting very threatening SMS's from various "debt collectors" obviously with Nedbanks blessing.

Some read: "Message from Sheriff Siya & Legal Team. We have not received your SEPTEMBER 2020 payment iro your Seriously Overdue NRR Account. Due to non payment and your refusal to contact us , Sheriff Siya may serve the Notices at your WORK OR HOME TO AVOID ANY EMBARASSMENT. Call 031***XX"

"Message B Luyt Attorneys VIP Paying Client. We did not receive your October payment i.r.o your LEGAL Credit Card A Acc Call Toll Free *** TODAY. Failure to call may result in us instructing the Sheriff to serve the Issued Notices at your place of work/home this weekend. Ref: ***-***X"

"Legal Notice from Erasmus Attorney . In a recorded call to NRR in 2020 you agreed to pay your Nedbank Account,but FAILED.Next Step,Legal Notices will be served on you at your place of work/home.CALL *** & we will connect you to speak to the ATTORNEY LIAISON Ref ***-***X"

ALL THE MESSAGES HAVE THE SAME REFERENCE NUMBER yet 3 DIFFERENT "DEBT COLLECTORS" are threatening me. Is this how you operate NEDBANK? Also for the record, I have NEVER promised anything in any telephone calls and in fact NEVER spoken to any of these shady "debt collectors".

SOME OF THESE NUMBERS BELONG TO NEDBANK AND NOT THE PARTIES CLAIMING SEND THE SMS'S!!

I will report this to The Council for Debt Collectors as this is not right.
