Nedbank's new cash transaction hours

For the past 20 odd years, Banks have been driven by pure greed to maximise profits. Fees are continually rising while customer service levels are ever diminishing.

While I have banked with Nedbank for over 40 years, the problem is not unique to just that bank. Under the umbrella of SASBO, the banks in South Africa operate as a cartel. They agree and implement the exorbitant fees in unison and, while price and service should allow the best banks to stand out, by offering similar products, the same fee structure and the same dreadful level of service, they are competing in mediocrity for business.

Although charging high fees for all and every "cash" transaction, Nedbank now sees fir to restrict the hours one may conduct cash transactions. : Withdrawals are only allowed between 10.00am and 2.00pm Bulk deposits only allowed to 1.00pm No cash transaction permitted on a Saturday.

Oh for the days when a service organisation actually provided a service.
