Nedbank's Angels

Dear Nedbank

I have a story which I do need to share with you regarding your St Georges Mall branch in Cape Town.

I went to Cape Town today with my fiancé, we parked in Longmarket Street, went to PostNet and then proceeded to our next stop at Willowbridge (Bellville). However once we arrived at Willowbridge I realised that my wallet was gone, we searched my whole car but it was no where to be found. As the dreadful thought of having to stop my cards, get a new license etc etc started to run through my mind I noticed a missed call on my cellphone. I called the number back and on the other side it was a lady by the name of Nolitha Sigam from Nedbank St Georges Mall letting me know that they have my wallet, bank cards, license and my R140 cash was in there!

I could not believe my luck! St Georges Mall, an area known for picket-pockets ("***** skirminkels"as I call them!) walking around it happened that someone honest picked up my wallet and handed it in. Nolitha Sigam explained to me that it was actually a member of their cleaning staff named Nonkosi Vasile who picked up the wallet and the team found my details on the Nedbank system! (even though all my cards are ABSA cards!)

Here is where it gets even better, once I got back to the branch I got meet the lovely Nonkosi Vasile... I asked her where she had found my wallet, she explained that she was walking in Longmarket Street (where I had earlier parked) and saw a gentleman pick up my wallet and he was about to walk off with it... She found this suspicious and told him to hand the wallet over to her!!!(No fear!!) From there of course she took it to the the team inside the branch and the rest was history.

Once I met Nonkosi at the branch it was easy to see her doing something as brave and honest like this, you can sense from her beautiful smile and warm personality that she is indeed an angel of a person! She was indeed my angel today!

Nedbank in Nolitha Sigam who tracked and called me and especially the "angel lady" Nonkosi Vasile you have pure gold! I am so incredibly grateful for their actions today, they have left me truly inspired and honoured to know that we still have such amazing people in our beautiful country!
