Nedbank - Your word is not your bond.

On the 1st of July i arranged an extension on my payment holiday, which was approved and i received a confirmation SMS on the same day, leading me to believe that my next debit order would only go off at the end of September. On the 29th July (before my salary date) R3k was deducted from my account, when i called Nedbank i was told that my payment arrangement was "rejected" and that i could claim from insurance against my income, however when the initial arrangement was made i explained that my household income had been affected and not my personal income, which at the time of my request was accepted and hence my request was approved. When i asked why i had not been notified the cc agent told me that an SMS was sent, this is not true as i have looked through my phone and no sms has been received. Which means that not only has Nedbank gone back on their arrangement with me, but its clearly OK with having cc agents lie to clients about prior notification. This just proves that banking institutions DO NOT operate under a code of conduct where your word is your bond, you DO NOT stand firm by your Slogan and Adverts, there is NO Honor and Integrity in how you treat your clients. My 63 year old father who has a small business has had no income for the past 5 months due to Covid, as a result he has moved in with me and my husband and we have absorbed his monthly expenses e.g R4K medical aid, R750 phone bill, R10K to repay his creditors for stock ordered prior to Covid ect. On the 1st of August another R3K was deducted from my account, i called your call center and i was politely "Blown off", i requested the recording of my conversation however i was told that a superior will have to authorize my request and as he/she was currently busy on another call i was told that i will get a call back shortly, this was on 2nd July, today is the 6th and still no response. This further proves that there is No honor and No integrity in the way Nedbank conducts its business,i guess truth be told Honor and Integrity is not how wealth is built, so i guess the joke is on me for naiively hoping that a "handshake agreement" still carried some weight - clearly a fools errand
