Nedbank what is going on?

I have been a Nedbank client for 20 years. And I have been a happy client for most part.

About a year and a half ago I got a call from Nedbank asking me if I wouldn't consider becoming a Professional Banking client. they explained the benefits etc. and I agreed. I was told a consultant would call me on the following Monday to help me complete the process.

After 2 weeks of waiting I call them and they moved me over to professional banking. This was the first warning sign. Why did I have to phone them back when they stated they would contact me. And this for a service that is there to make ones banking experience better and more streamlined.

So I was told my new Professional Banker would introduce themselves to me shortly and help with anything I needed done. So I was excited at the idea of having a professional banker. My brother-in-law is also a Nedbank Professional Banking client. His banker comes out to him if documents needed signing and most things he can request by phone or email. This sounded great to me s the not having to actually go into the bank is good news on any day.

Well once again after 3 weeks I had to call to find out who my professional banker was. And then I struggled another 2 weeks to get hold of him. Leaving messages for him to call me back yielded no response.

So I wanted to apply for an overdraft facility. Which he helped me with but I had to go to the branch 3 times for this? Then I asked when I would get my professional banking cards, which he seemed a little confused about. and once again I had to go to the bank. and When receiving the SMS stating the cards are ready for collection I called him because the SMS stated it was a different branch to the one he was operating from. He then confirmed that they were at his branch. I then got in my car drove there,. Stood in the queue for an hour, just to find out that the cards were not there.

Needles to say I then requested for a different banker at a different branch. I was assigned a different banker, but she was about to go on maternity leave. So I arranged with her to get my cards delivered to my home. So these would include my debit card credit card and an AMEX cred card. I also arranged for linked credit cards for my wife. They delivered 20 incorrect cards to my house. I had to through my toys out the cot on numerous occasions to get this resolved.

Thinking that this was finally sorted. Both my wife and I has issues get overdraft facilities even after this.

Then my brother-in-law got married in February. I gave him my wife's petrol card which is linked to my account. As mine was expired. While they were on honeymoon I went to the bank to get my one replaced. And this was another mess. Firstly I got messages saying the card was ready for collection and on 2 occasions I was turned away saying there was no card. then they cancelled both cards. So my brother-in-law couldn't use the card while away.

Now I am also a Nedbank Insurance client. My home owners cover ws with them. I had a claim for our garage door to be repaired. I had reversed into it by mistake. The first assessor who cane out lodged an incorrect report stating the door had hit the floor and that was the reason for the damage. Which was a lie and he was trying to get a new door installation out of this. I once again had to fight to get the door repaired and the claim to be approved. I had had enough at his point and cancelled my home owners cover with Nedbank. However they now wont close it because they still have the claim active on their side. But the work is done and the excess has been paid. So It should be closed right?

I have called 3 times now to get this rectified. Every time the response is the same. The claim is still active. But they will get someone to contact me to sort it out. Yeah right. No one ever calls me back from Nedbank
