Nedbank - Useless

THE WORST BANK!!!!!! I am a South African working abroad in Papua New Guinea. As an expat I send money back home in order for me to pay my bills and take care of my loved ones. I have been a Nedbank Client for a couple of years and decided to keep my banking with them for this time period I would be abroad. I went into a branch just before leaving and they assured me that I don't need to worry, as long as I have access to my internet banking and app everything will be okay. A couple of weeks ago I was ****** with a bush knife to my neck and thank God they only they took was my phone (the same phone that is my approve it device and my authenticated user device for my banking app). Since April 17 I have been attempting to get a hold of a department of Nedbank who can assist me in my predicament to reload my banking app and again continue to do my banking(as I do have access to my internet banking but can't make payments as I can't approve it on my OTP/banking app). Needless to say attempting to get assistance from Nedbank has been as useless as whispering in the ear of a corpse. When communicating to all the different departments and being transferred from one agent to the other no one seems to understand what it means to be out of the country and aboard. When asking to change the number on my OTP they direct me to my Money app, yet I need to receive the OTP in order to get into my app (which I cant as the number is an SA number and not available to me), then the next solution to change my number they direct me to go into a branch (which I am not able to due to being half way around the world). You get bounced between the solution of "Just go into your app" or "go into a branch" again and again. This little charade continues as we go around and around on the circus wheel that is Nedbank. Needless to say I am now stuck with a bank account with funds in it which I am not able to utilize due to a *********** bank. Thanks Nedbank, banking with you has proved just how bad it can get.
