Nedbank Unreasonable service
Would just like to relay this terrible service I received from Nedbank on the 15th February 2022. On the 14th February 2022 I noticed some suspicious transactions on my Nedbank account and then called the Nedbank helpline on ***to report this as this is the process to follow. I spoke to a consultant named Mpilo which advised me that before they start the investigation she advises me to block the card to ensure no further transactions can occur, which I thought was a good idea and went ahead. Then on the 15th February 2022 I notice on my banking app two deductions of R149.99 each for replacement of cards charged by Nedbank.
How is it that I get charged to replacement of cards when I still have my cards and it was on the advise from the call center agent that I should block the cards. After calling them again to query this I was informed by Mthokozi that a replacement fee is charged because the cards details has been compromised and the cards can no longer be used.
Surely this is not due to a fault of mine losing or misplacing the card, this was merely to avoid further possible ********** transactions. So is it reasonable to be charged a replacement fee of R300 because I was instructed to block the card by a worker of Nedbank
