Nedbank timeline to close a account and take responsibility - 7 months. Client service - Poor
it takes Nedbank 7 months to close a account meanwhile you get send from person to person due to them moving staff around, delayed communication and passing over to one another. with that in mind it caused 7 month delay and me as the client still need to make payment for banking cost. Eventually a couple of weeks ago I decided to to lodge a complaint requesting that account must be closed and also requested that the money must be paid back as I was not me delaying the process.
First they said that they can close the account cause the account is in arrears (it obviously would not have been if the account was closed as and when requested). I had to settle the account and eventually the account was closed 31/01/2023 from starting the process in July 2022.
When I queried about the money that needs to be repaid the the CLIENT SERVICE MANAGER FROM NEDBANK and direct quote from the email "We do not tell our clients to log another complaint over a complaint. If somebody told you that we must apologise."
As long as Nedbank can get every cent possible out of you, that is their goal, customer service, they don't care, logging a complaint and you deal with people caring even less. Doesn't matter if you have been customer 15 years
