Nedbank threatens to block my account that I asked to be closed 13 years ago

Nedbank sends me a SMS stating they're going to close my account because I'm not registered with FICA. I ignore this and then also get an email, so I reckon they must be on to something.

Turns out they want to close my credit card account that I asked them to close 13 years ago and has been dormant for more than a decade. At 16:30 sharp my call cuts and I can't call back since that department is now closed. I call another number who then explains I need to go in to a branch to fix this. I ditched nedbank because I had to go in to the branch too often due to their stuffups. Eventually I tell the agent to just close my account since I'm not going in, but was told the department that closes accounts is now also closed.

What are you doing Nedbank???
