Nedbank - the biggest pandemic to happen to a Bank; The bank that can cost you from not getting your COVID19 test
NEDBANK - THE BIGGEST PANDEMIC BEFORE COVID19
January 2020 I was retrenched with little notice. But that should have been fine, I had Nedbank insurance to cover my payments on my credit cards. I app**** in January for my insurance, went into the bank, filled out the forms with the lady at the desk and she had submitted it - that was what i was told i had to do in order to get that done, could not be done over email. It was only until March that my insurance was covered by, because Nedbank had "lost" or forgotten to hand in my form to the relevant parties. I was then told I would be contacted by email and I could now magically do this over email. March 2020 I had started a new job. Paid all the payments that needed to be done, hadn't even tried to use my card up until June 2020. Only to find out my cards were blocked. I then called in and was advised that I needed to once again send in my new contract, latest salary slips and bank statements, To which i had obliged. It took close to 2 weeks just to get that sorted. I had to call agents to get the woman I was dealing with just to respond to advise she had received my paperwork. The next day she tells me All has been approved and I will need to go into Nedbank to get my cards re-encoded. Day 1, I go in get turned away after waiting, as they were offline. Second day, I went into my Nedbank branch in Edenvale, I was then told by the teller that only one card had been done and I need to send in paperwork for the other card. The woman who I had been dealing with argues and says she has done them for both. I told her that was not the case. I leave the bank and I get another email to say I can go back in again. I was already waiting in line ready to get my COVID19 test using my card that I was told WAS working. 4.5 hours later I get told my card just doesn't want to work. I ran to the nearest Nedbank branch, minutes too late - guess what, they are closed and the ATM just spits my "fixed' card out of the machine. Called your call center - they cant help me either. Nedbank cannot help you online, in person or on the phone. HELP ME, HELP YOU!
