Nedbank, the bank that takes but never gives.

Where to begin with this bank and its terrible customer service.

Nedbank has given me trouble and problems since I decided to take a loan out with them. This is probably the biggest regret I have because instead of helping a customer financially, they are slowly but surely ruining me and my credit record.

About a year ago nedbank stopped debuting my account for two months. I didn't notice the problem as I had funds in my account and never thought a bank would skip a debit order

They called me to tell me I missed payments. After a long and very annoying process, they told me I had a nedbank bank account number and all kinds of nonsense. I told them I have had the same ABSA cheque account for the past 12 years. Hownon earth does a bank get my debit account wrong after debuting me for months. Something very wrong there. Funny how we trust the same people witb our hard earned money.

I made a payment arrangement in order to keep my account in the green. 3 months later they debit my full loan payment twice. Financially I cannot afford this. They used a Debi check debit order and this cannot be reversed. I did not give consent nor did I sign for this debit order. According to the Consumer Act. This is not allowed.

Fast forward a few months later. They do the same thing again. This time I reverse the first payment and leave the second one, as this means I have paid my monthly payment regardless. Let's highlight that I CANNOT AFFORD TWO FULL LOAN PAYMENTS A MONTH NEDBANK.

Now I am being called on a regular basis, Nedbank phone lines are so poor that they cut out after talking for a bit. It happens over and over again. No one has made an effort to fix anything or apologize for slowly but surely destroying my credit record with double debit orders that are against the law.

I have made payment arrangements and these should be honored. I am a customer. A very unhappy one. But a customer none the less.

Nedbank. Wake up. You are a service provider and should look out for your clients. But thank you for ruining my monthly accounts and credit score. You are part of why customers are struggling to make it out here. Remember, I have no problem honoring an agreement I signed for. Not one you make up due to negligence and *********** customer service.

A very unhappy client.
