Nedbank taking their sweet time to do nothing

I've app**** for a credit card and submitted the documents requested to process the transaction but I have heard nothing . I am actually contemplating leaving Nedbank who I have banked with for the better part of my professional career and feel very strong to go to FNB, who I have also app**** for a credit card and is also in the final stage of processing it, I just need to accept. I need to see who is faster before I purchase a house this year. Nedbank you will find that I've already app**** for a house and have been pre approved by you, I'm now looking at which bank trusts me (I haven't defaulted, nor have I missed any payments and this you will see on my credit record). I get R40k+ monthly and I am also favourable according to Transunion's credit record which I view daily. The only reason I don't have the best of credit scores is because I haven't had a long enough account for you to look at my payment history (I think my car insurance for two years is the longest) nor have I had vehicle finance in the past few years since I normally buy my cars cash and since this is a problem apparently, I bought a Nissan Juke last week via vehicle finance but this will only boost my credit record after some time. I don't have a couple of months time. I'm trying to plan my year ahead and can't do it without making a decision on which bank I'm going with. I never believed in debt which apparently is the problem but now I'm not getting any response or any indication that Nedbank is interested in me. I have MFC phoning me continously with silly offers, I can get a cash loans with huge amounts that I don't want. I only need the credit card for to boost my credit record further by transfering my salary after dedudtions into the credit card account and then to do my normal monthly groceries and leave whatever is left over. This apparently will assist in boosting my credit record further, I don't know, I was told this by my financial advisor so I'm keen but it doesn't look like Nedbank sees me worth their time. So I don't even need a balance to be big, since I'm going to move my salary into it monthly.

Having said this, I have a good credit record, no isssues on it and I'm waiting for feedback from my bank . I don't care if you decline my application but do it soon so I can move away from Nedbank onto FNB who is more than willing to give me a credit card, I must just accept and I refuse to have both so I am waiting for Nedbank to catch a wake up. I'm just giving my bank a fair chance to see whether it is worth it to stick with them. The lack of sense of urgency is already giving me a good impression to what I'm dealing with. I hope you'll prove me wrong in response. Regards

Nedbank! I feel like am displaying the characteristics of somoene who is too eager or "needy" but a very important decision has to be made by me if this turns negative, something I don't look forward to so thus the reason for my persistence which will cease today after this message. Personally I think this is taking too long and I'm starting to irritate myself. Yes, I was contacted yesterday morning. Then did the application telephonically and I was declined but the friendly lady on the otherside couldn't understand why since I have a good credit score, she couldn't understand since I have nothing bad on my name whatsoever and with the good salary I'm earning she said she will appeal. Then Lucas Govender phoned me saying that they don't understand why I'm being declined and will appeal to the credit manager or someone more able to assist/authorise...I don't know. It's Friday evening now, I anticipate a weekend with no feedback and in the mean time I can say yes to FNB but I don't want to so now I wait. It's yes or no Nedbank. Have me as a client or watch me go...surely I'm just a drop in the ocean for you. I just want one answer....what risk will you have in authorising a credit card with based on my credit history? Its an honest question. For someone who earns R40k+ a month, without a drop of dirt on his credit report. Where is the risk? The risk to you is that you can't see if I'm going to pay it long term right since I am financially stable and did not open credit accounts for the last two years? You financed me a car where I now owe you R170k. I did this last month but I only bought a car like this to start a payment history. I've taken a small personal loan in February (R5k I think) with you Nedbank just to start some payment history, which I hate and if you view the account you will see I've paid off extra amounts, not just my instalment amouns (I think more than double the installment) because I want you to see some type of payment history on a credit account with you, even if I am going to finish it before the final due date. Were the criteria for these accounts in different divisions, based on different rules, based on different views on a credit report? I guess so. If I didn't need a credit card to boost my credit record I wouldn't persist like this. It's frustrating to say the least. Like I said this persistence will cease. I feel I've given you a fair chance and you've let me down. If by Monday afternoon I have no response, I will know what to do.
